The Cat Cabinet was founded in commemoration of the ginger cat John Pierpont Morgan (1966-1983). This special cat was the stubborn, headstrong companion of the museum's founder, Bob Meijer.

NEW: CATTOUR

 

Would you like to visit the Cat Cabinet with a small group and learn about the art at display? We now have the option to book a guided tour. This tour tells you more about the collection. What is it that so many different artists throughout history include cats in their work? Our tour guide will reveal the wonderous life stories behind some of these artists while walking you through an empty museum (the tour starts every Tuesday at 11:00, an hour before the museum opens). The tour can be booked from 4 people up to a maximum of 8 people..
